ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਪੰਥਕ ਨਹੀ, ਇਹ ਤਾਂ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਮੋਹਰਾ ਬਣ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ ਸਿੱਖ ਅੰਦੋਲਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਬਾਉਣ ਲਈ।

 
ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਕਰਤਾਰਪੁਰ ਲਾਂਘੇ ਲਈ ਕਈ ਮਤੇ ਪਾਸ ਕਰ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਸਵਾਲ ਉਠਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੀ ਕਦੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਲੀਡਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਤਕ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਵੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਲਾਂਘਾ ਖੋਲਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ? ਨਹੀ, ਕਦੀ ਵੀ ਨਹੀ। ਇਹ ਪੰਥਕ ਮੰਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ ਰਸਮ ਜਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਚਾਰ ਦੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਨੇ। ਜਿਵੇ ਗਲੋਂ ਗਲਾਵਾਂ ਲਾਹੁੰਣਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਹੋਰ ਦੇਖੋ, ਵਿਛੜੇ ਅਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਤਾਂਗ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਪੰਥ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਲੰਮੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਸੁਭਾ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਅਰਦਾਸਾਂ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਰਿਕਾਰਡ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਿੱਖ ਲੀਡਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਦੀ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਬਾਬਤ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਤਕ ਸਿੱਧੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਨਹੀ ਬਣਾਈ। ਮਾਸਟਰ ਤਾਰਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ  ਨਹਿਰੂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਣੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਇਹ ਕੰਮ ਠੱਪ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਇਕ ਰਸਮ ਬਣ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
ਸਿੱਖ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਕ ਲੀਡਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਲ ਛੱਡੋ  ਕਦੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਅਹੁਦੇਦਾਰ ਵੀ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਨਹੀ ਕਰਦੇ।
ਅੱਜ ਤਾਂ ਹਾਲਾਤ ਇੰਨੇ ਉਲਟ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਨੇ ਕਿ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਪੰਥਕ ਮੰਗ ਦੇ ਸਬੰਧ ਵਿਚ ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਅੰਦੋਲਨ ਚਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਵਿਚ ਰੋਕ ਪਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਮਿਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਹਰਦੁਆਰ ਦੇ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਗਿਆਨ ਗੋਦੜੀ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਲੈ ਲਓ। ਪਿਛੇ ਪੰਥ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਬਾਬਤ ਜਦੋਂ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਵਿਢਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਝੱਟ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆ ਗਈ ਤੇ ਇਕ 20 ਮੈਂਬਰੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਦੀ ਫੂਕ ਕੱਢ ਦਿਤੀ।
1984 ਦੇ ਫੌਜੀ ਹਮਲੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਫੌਜ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਇਤਹਾਸਕ ਦਸਤਾਵੇਜ ਤੇ ਵਸਤੂਆਂ ਇਥੋਂ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਲੈ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਸਾਬਕਾ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਜਾਰਜ ਫਰਨਾਂਡਿਸ ਨੇ ਇਕ ਵੇਰਾਂ ਬਿਆਨ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਵੀ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਦਸਤਾਵੇਜ ਸਭ ਫੌਜ ਕੋਲ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਸਾਡੇ ਇਹ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਕਦੀ ਕਦਾਈ ਸਿਰਫ ਅਖਬਾਰੀ ਬਿਆਨ ਹੀ ਛੱਡਦੇ ਨੇ ਕਿ ਦਸਤਾਵੇਜ ਵਾਪਸ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣ। ਕਦੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਜਾਂ ਅਫਸਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀ ਮਿਲਦੇ।
ਪਿਛਲੀ ਮਰਦਮ ਸ਼ੁਮਾਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਧਣ ਦਰ ਸਿਰਫ 8% ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਡੈਮੋਗਰਾਫੀ (ਸਇੰਸ-ਮਰਦਮ ਸ਼ੁਮਾਰੀ) ਦਾ ਅਸੂਲ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਿਸ ਲੋਕ-ਗਰੁੱਪ (ਕੌਮ)  ਦਾ ਗ੍ਰੋਥ ਰੇਟ 21 ਤੋਂ ਘੱਟ ਜਾਏ ਉਹ ਹੌਲੀ ਹੌਲੀ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਨਕਸ਼ੇ ਤੋਂ ਗਾਇਬ (ਲੁਪਤ) ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਪਾਠਕ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋਣਗੇ ਕਿ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਨੇ ਐਡੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਮਸਲੇ ਤੇ ਕਦੀ ਬਿਆਨ ਤਕ ਨਹੀ ਦਿਤਾ।
ਅੱਜ ਜਰੂਰਤ ਹੈ ਪੰਥ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੀ ਕਾਰਗੁਜਾਰੀ ਬਾਬਤ ਸੁਚੇਤ ਹੋਵੇ। ਕੋਈ ਕਾਰਨ ਰਹਿ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਕਿ ਅਸੀ ਸ਼ੱਕ ਨਾਂ ਕਰੀਏ ਕਿ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਤੇ ਆਰ ਐਸ ਐਸ ਦਾ ਕਬਜਾ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ। ਜਰੂਰਤ ਹੈ ਬਾਹਰ ਬੈਠਾ ਸਿੱਖ ਇਸ ਬਾਬਤ ਕੋਈ ਠੋਸ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਬਣਾਏ। ਸੰਯੁਕਤ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਸੰਘ ਤਾਂ ਜੀਵ ਜੰਤੂਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਬੰਧ ਵਿਚ ਵੀ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿੰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਹੋਂਦ ਨੂੰ ਖਤਰਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਇਥੇ ਤਾਂ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਅਲੌਕਿਕ ਸਿੱਖ-ਕੌਮ ਦੀ ਹੋਂਦ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਖਤਰਾ ਹੈ। (ਦਾਸਰਾ- ਬੀ.ਐਸ.ਗੁਰਾਇਆ)

Amritsar: The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) website, which currently has information published in Gurmukhi and Roman scripts, will soon have Shahmukhi added to it in order to propagate Sikhism in Pakistan.

Newly-appointed SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal said on Wednesday that the general house of the committee had given its approval to include Shahmukhi on its website so that Sikhs in Pakistan could understand Gurus’ teachings in their own language. He said on the occasion of 550^th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev in 2019, the SGPC would set up a Sikh museum and library named after Rai Bular Ahmed Bhatti at the birth place of Guru Nanak Dev at Nankana Sahib.

Rai Bular was a Muslim contemporary of the Guru who later became his disciple. The house also decided that a portrait of Rai Bular would be displayed at the Central Sikh Museum during the celebrations and his descendants would be invited to participate in the celebrations and receive honour, said Longowal.

The president said the SGPC would also set up a Gurmat Sangeet academy at Nankana Sahib in the name of Bhai Mardana, the first Muslim companion of Guru Nanak. About the demand of a corridor between Dera Baba Nanak in Gurdaspur district of India and Kartarpur Sahib in Narowal district of Pakistan, the SGPC chief said the committee had urged the state government to act in this regard and construct the passage.
