ਇਨਾਂ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਮੁਲਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੀਡੀਏ ਵਲ ਜਰਾ ਤਵੱਜੋ ਦਿਓ। ਹਰ ਇਕ ਆਪਣੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਨਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਸਰੀ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਭੜਕਾਅ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੁਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਮਹਾਨ ਦੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਤੇ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਟਿੱਚ। ਭਾਰਤੀ ਮੀਡੀਆਂ ਅਕਸਰ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਬਿਆਨ ਜਾਰੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਤਾਕਤਵਰ ਫੌਜਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਇਕ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਛੇਤੀ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਬਣ ਜਾਏਗੀ।  Just have a look  at the media of both countries. Both of them are instigating their masses against the other. Each one claiming that their country is the greatest of all. The Indian media would often boast in a threatening tone that its army is one of the most powerful armies of the world and soon it is going to become number one. (both in English and Punjabi)

ਐਨ ਏਸੇ ਤਰਜ ਤੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਵੀ ਬਿਆਨ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਅਕਸਰ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੀ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੀਆਂ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਇਕ ਹੈ। "ਵੇਖੋ ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਐਟਮ ਬੰਬ ਹੈਗਾ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਹੀਰੋਸ਼ੀਮਾ ਨਾਗਾਸਾਕੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੰਬ ਨਾਲੋ 100 ਗੁਣਾਂ ਜਿਆਦਾ ਤਾਕਤਵਰ ਹੈ।"
ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿਚ ਤਾਂ ਸਕੂਲੀ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਲੇਬਸ ਵਿਚ ਕਈ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਪਾਠ ਨੇ ਜਿੰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਮਹਾਨ ਦੇਸ ਹੈ।ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਕਿ ਦੋਵੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਝੂਠ ਤੇ ਰਿਸ਼ਵਤਖੋਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਜੱਦੋਜਹਿਦ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਤਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਤਰਸਯੋਗ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਜਿਥੇ ਆਏ ਦਿਨ ਇਹਦੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਮੁਜਾਹਿਦ ਇਹਦੀ ਜਨਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਮਾਰ ਰਹੇ ਨੇ ਅਤੇ ਓਥੋਂ ਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰਾਂ ਬੇਵੱਸ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆਉਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੀ ਸੋਚ ਦਾ ਅਸਰ ਅਮੂਮਨ ਜਿੰਮੇਵਾਰ ਅਫਸਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਲੀਡਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਵੀ ਪੈ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਗੈਰ-ਜਿੰਮੇਵਾਰਾਨਾਂ ਬਿਆਨ ਦਾਗ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਨੇ।
ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੀ ਕੁਝ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਫੌਜ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। 8 ਜੂਨ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਮੁਖੀ ਨੇ ਵੱਡਾ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਠੋਕ ਦਿਤਾ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਚੀਨ ਤੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਦੋ ਦੋ ਹੱਥ ਕਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰਾਂ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੈ। ਫੁਕਰੇਪਣ ਨਾਲ ਨੱਕੋ ਨੱਕ ਹੋਏ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਮੀਡੀਏ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਕੀ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਸੀ ਉਨਾਂ ਇਸ ਬਿਆਨ ਨੂੰ ਝੰਡੇ ਤੇ ਚਾੜ ਦਿਤਾ।
ਜਿਸ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਚੀਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਕਈ ਧਮਕੀਆਂ ਆ ਗਈਆਂ। ਚੀਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਧਮਕੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਫਿਰ ਇਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਖੁੱਲੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਔਕਾਤ ਦਾ ਅਹਿਸਾਸ ਹੋਇਆ।
ਕਿਉਕਿ ਸੈਨਾ ਮੁਖੀ ਦਾ ਬਿਆਨ ਗਲਤ ਸੀ ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਥੋਂ ਤਕ ਕਹਿ ਦਿਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਫਰਕ ਨਹੀ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਜੇ ਲੋਕ ਕਹਿਣ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਜਨਰਲ ਡਾਇਰ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ 1919 ਵਿਚ ਸੈਕੜੇ ਨਿਹੱਥੇ ਬੇਦੋਸ਼ੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਗੋਲੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਭੁੰਨ ਸੁਟੇ ਸਨ।
ਜਰੂਰਤ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਸੈਨਾ ਮੁੱਖੀ ਦੇ ਬਿਆਨ ਦੀ ਕਾਟ ਕੋਈ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਲੀਡਰ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਰਖਿਆ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਜਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਪਰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਕਲ ਵੇਖੋ ਫੌਜ ਮੁਖੀ ਦੇ ਬਿਆਨ ਦੀ ਕਾਟ ਉਪ ਫੌਜ ਮੁਖੀ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਸੋ ਆਹ ਹੈ ਇਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਡਸਿਪਲਨ। ਅਜੇ ਕਲ ਹੀ ਖਬਰ ਆਈ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਇਕ ਸੀ ਆਰ ਪੀ ਅਫਸਰ ਦੀ ਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਹੱਡੀ ਪਸਲੀ ਇਕ ਕਰ ਦਿਤੀ ਕਿਉਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਛੁਟੀ ਨਹੀ ਸੀ ਦਿਤੀ।
ਸੋ ਗਲਤ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀ ਮਾਰਦਾ। ਪਾਪ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਪਾਪ ਦਾ ਬੋਝ ਹੀ ਕਾਫੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਬੇਈਮਾਨੀਆਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ। ਸੂਰਬੀਰ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫੌਜ ਤੋਂ ਲਾਂਭੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਆਹ ਜੇ ਕਰਤੂਤ ਇਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਰਨੈਲਾਂ ਦੀ। ਛੇਤੀ ਹੀ ਮੂਤਣ ਲਗ ਪਏ ਨੇ। ਹੁਣ ਹੋਵੋ ਅਗਾਂਹ ਜਰਾ।

ਖੈਰ ਇਨਾਂ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਮੁਲਕਾਂ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਹਾਅ ਦਾ ਨਾਹਰਾ ਮਾਰਨ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਫਾਇਦਾ ਨਹੀ। ਕੁਦਰਤ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨਾਂ ਹੀ ਹੈ। ਪਾਪ ਦਾ ਘੜਾ ਨੱਕੋ ਨੱਕ ਭਰ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ।ਹੇਠਾਂ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਗਰੇਜੀ ਵਿਚ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਖਬਰਾਂ ਨੇ। 1. ਡਿਪੁਟੀ ਫੌਜ ਮੁਖੀ ਦਾ ਬਿਆਨ ਤੇ 2. ਫੌਜ ਮੁਖੀ ਦਾ ਅਨਾੜੀ ਬਿਆਨ।

Pakistan media also doesn't lag behind, "Look we have atom bomb which is 100 times more powerful than the Hiroshima- Nagasaki bomb."  and  "We are one of the few atomic powers of the world." "We will finish Delhi before their plans cross Wagha border"
I don't know about Pakistan but Indian school syllabi have lessons teaching the pupils that India is the greatest country of all. This I am sure would be the case with Pakistan as well. Whereas the fact is both countries are struggling against the falsehood and corruption in their respective systems. Condition of Pakistan has become rather more pitiable where groups created by their own Govt are now killing the masses at will and Pakistan Govt seems to be helpless.
Both the Govts are on suicide missions.  They are now to reap the harvest of falsehood and chauvinism they sowed and nourished. In past no Govt has survived for long whichever has killed its own citizens and both Govts are engaged in this sinful process. 
Chauvinism has its toll of officers and politicians as well. Obviously they are from within the society.  Here is a glaring example.
On  June 8, 2017 the Indian army chief issued a statement that Indian army is capable of fighting a war with China, Pakistan and internal enemies simultaneously. He also hinted at the modern weaponry that India possesses.
While Pakistan ignored this as usual talk the China didn't. China has thereafter repeatedly issued threats to India.  Now India when felt that Chinese threat is not a hollow and China means what it says. It has thus attempted to correct that statement of its army chief.
As per protocol if the Army Chief's statement was to be disowned the best competent authority would have been Defence Minister or Prime Minister.
But see the  papers of today. The deputy chief of army has repudiated the statement of army chief. This is their discipline and they claim they are going to win over the world.
Only yesterday a CRP commander was given a sound beating by his jawans who were refused leave by him.
So no body can stop the sins from disintegration. The natural law should  have its own course. And perhaps the time has come.  Masses on both sides have born too much of falsehood.  Interestingly the Indian official emblem has a slogan;  ' The truth shall prevail'.

China will remain a threat to India, says Vice Chief of Army Staff

As the India-China military standoff continues at Doka La, the Vice Chief of Army Staff Lt. Gen. Sarath Chand on Tuesday said that China would continue to remain a threat for the country in future.

“On the North, we have China which has a large landmass, huge resources and a large standing Army… Despite having the Himalayas between us, China is bound to be a threat for us in the years ahead,” said Lt. Gen. Sarath Chand, addressing a joint seminar of the Army’s Master General Ordnance and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

Referring to China’s rapid military modernisation, Lt. Gen. Sarath Chand said that a large portion of Chinese defence spending remains undisclosed.

“As the second largest economy in the world it is racing to catch up with the U.S.,” he observed.
This year China has hiked defence spending to $152 billion, about three times that of India, but the real spend is estimated to be much higher.


Referring to Pakistan, Lt. Gen. Sarath Chand said being a smaller country with smaller economy, it chose to needle India unconventionally rather than engage in a full-fledged war and said, “That suits its all-weather friend China,”

Stating that South Asia continues to be one of the most “volatile regions” in the world, the Lt. Gen. said, “India being in the centre of it, is the security provider for this region.”

For that, he said, India needs to become economically strong in order to have influence in the area and to secure ourselves. “The world recognises strength, both economic and military”

On June 16, Chinese troops tried to construct a road through the disputed Doka La Plateau which was physically blocked by Indian troops in the area triggering the present standoff.

NEW DELHI: Chief of Army Staff General Bipin Rawat has said the Indian Army is prepared to face external as well as internal threats to the country. "The Indian Army is completely ready for a two-and-a-half front war," said Rawat.
The Army chief added that though India is ready for a multi-front war, there are effective mechanisms to defuse an adverse situation. "Even the Prime Minister has said that for the last forty years not even a single bullet has been fired on the Indo-China border," said General Rawat.

He also said that a new strike unit, 17 Strike Corps, is being raised specifically for mountain warfare. When asked about the delay in its raising, the Army chief said a process as complex as this takes time. "It is being raised from scratch. The recruitment is going on. To prepare an army soldier it takes about three years from the recruitment process to the training, orientation and finally their deployment."

On modernisation plans of the Army, General Rawat said, "Make in India is a good initiative. It will give results in two to three years."

The General said all armies across the world maintain an inventory in the ratio of the 30:40:30. "Here, 30% equipment is state-of-the-art technology, 40% is undergoing modernization and the rest 30% is obsolete, which requires an upgrade."
