PUNJAB'S LONGEST LASTING MELA BEGINS, REMAINS UN-REPORTED IN MEDIA

The Sikh guru sahiban have repeatedly asserted that the faith is independent from the Hinduism or Islam. Guru sahib has asserted it in no ambiguous terms, Like on page
Guru says says:

ਹਜ ਕਾਬੈ ਜਾਉ ਨ ਤੀਰਥ ਪੂਜਾ ॥

 ਏਕੋ ਸੇਵੀ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਦੂਜਾ ॥2॥ 

ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰਉ ਨ ਨਿਵਾਜ ਗੁਜਾਰਉ ॥

 ਏਕ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰ ਲੇ ਰਿਦੈ ਨਮਸਕਾਰਉ ॥3॥

 ਨਾ ਹਮ ਹਿੰਦੂ ਨ ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨ ॥

 ਅਲਹ ਰਾਮ ਕੇ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਪਰਾਨ ॥4॥ 

i.e I don't go for Hindu pilgrimages of 68 places neither do I go for Mecca Hajj.

I serve the Only One not the second or third.

Neither do I worship to do Hindu pooja neither do I read Muslim Namaj, I just keep in mind the Only God.

So we are neither Muslims nor Hindus just tiny creatures of God almighty. 

So in spite of the above the Indian Govt is hell bent to tell Sikhs that Sikhs are part of Hindu mainstream. Very few people know that there is media censorship. The Govt uses this censorship to its credit. Therefore the Govt put all its resources to such an event which brings Sikhs closure to Hinduism. There are several such events which go in favour of such policy of the Hindu Govt.  For example :

1. The Hola Mohalla festival of Anandpur sahib is favoured by Govt because it brings Sikhs closer to Hinduism because Hindus celebrate Holi festival.

2. The Chole da Mela at Dera Baba Nanak of district Gurdaspur is censored by Govt because Chola the gown of Guru Nanak bears inscriptions from Quran. Here the Kartarpur has a grave the Islamic tomb of Guru Nanak.

It is for this reason that this longest mela is neglected by media so that the Mela gets no projection by media otherwise the media boost will multiply its pilgrims.
