ਹੇਠਾਂ ਗੌਰ ਕਰੋ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਦੇ ਲਗ ਪਗ ਸਾਰੇ ਅਖਬਾਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੀ ਖਬਰ ਦਿਤੀ ਹੈ ਸਿਵਾਏ ਅਜੀਤ ਅਖਬਾਰ ਦੇ। ਅਜੀਤ ਅਖਬਾਰ ਵੀ ਲਾਂਘੇ ਤੇ ਖਬਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਸ਼ਰਤ ਇਹ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀ ਇਹ ਨਾਂ ਲਿਖੋ ਕਿ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਲਾਂਘਾ ਦੇਣ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੈ। ਯਾਦ ਰਹੇ ਪਿਛੇ ਜਿਹੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਅਜੀਤ ਦੇ ਸੰਪਾਦਕ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਰਤ ਦਾ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਨੰਬਰ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਇਨਾਮ ਦਿਤਾ ਹੈ: ਪਦਮ ਵਿਭੂਸ਼ਨ।

Kartarpur corridor: Body seeks UN help

A memorandum seeking UN intervention in materializing the corridor to Kartarpur Sahib has been submitted in the organization's New Delhi office on Tuesday by Sangat Langha Kartarpur (SLK), an organization spearheading the campaign. The corridor is a dream for Sikhs worldwide to cover less than 4km distance on foot to pay obeisance at Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib in Narowal district of Pakistan from Dera Baba Nanak in Gurdaspur district of Punjab in India.Talking to TOI, SLK founder B S Goraya informed that they had sought UN intervention for the construction of the corridor from the office of resi dential coordinator of UN in Delhi. “We have requested UN secretary general Ban Ki Moon to take up the issue of construction of corridor with both Indian and Pakistani governments,“ he said.
Goraya added that despite passing a resolution on October 1, 2010, in the Punjab legislative assembly asking the Union government to take up the issue with the Pakistan government, the state government has done nothing.
Kartarpur Sahib remains sacred to Sikhs as Guru Nanak Dev , the first Sikh master, had reached there in 1522 after completing four udasis (long journeys) and lived a simple life tilling fields for nearly 17 years before leaving for heavenly abode in 1539.
