ਸਰਹੱਦ ਤੇ ਬੀ ਐਸ ਐਫ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਕੈਨਟੀਨ ਖੋਲੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਲਾਂਘੇ ਦੀ ਲਹਿਰ ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਬਾਰਡਰ ਤੇ ਰੌਣਕਾਂ ਵਧਣਗੀਆਂ। ਅਜੇ ਮੇਲੇ ਦੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਦਿਨ ਹੀ ਹੋਏ ਤਾਂ ਬੀ ਐਸ ਐਫ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ 'ਚ ਦੁਹਾਈ ਪੈ ਗਈ ਕਿ ਬਾਰਡਰ ਤੇ ਏਨੀ ਗਾਹਕੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤਿੰਨ ਲਖ ਦੀਆਂ ਜਲੇਬੀਆਂ ਵਿਕ ਗਈਆਂ।

The week long mammoth festival of Dera Baba Nanak is in progress. It started on March 2, 2009. The gathering was at its peak on 4-3-09. By any miser estimate about 7 lakh people are visiting the Border Point from where Kartarpur sahib is visible. Basically the mela or gathering is traditionally meant to have darshan the glimpse of holy chola the garment which Guru Nanak wore.

Obviously we had prepared in advance. We circulated in large numbers a poster (in the form of a wall calendar where we printed pictures of 25 Sikh shrines in Pakistan) The message on the poster was very clear that after 60 years it has now become abundantly clear that it is the Govt of India which doesn’t want that the Sikhs should visit their holy shrines.

 

The message on the poster was so convincing and communicative that the Govt agencies became hysteric and they stealthily removed some posters on certain walls. The text of message (it can be read from the poster also) is as under:-

ਬੇਈਮਾਨ ਲੀਡਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਭੜਕਾਉਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਸੰਨ ੧੯੪੭ ਞ'ਚ ਕੋਈ ਇਕ ਕ੍ਰੋੜ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਜਰਤ ਕਰਨੀ ਪਈ ਤੇ ਕਰੀਬ ੧੦ ਲੱਖ ਲੋਕ ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਤਾਂ ਲੱਕ ਟੁੱਟ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਜਮੀਨਾਂ ਜਾਇਦਾਦਾਂ ਦੇ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਤਕਰੀਬਨ ੫੦੦ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਤੇ ਇਤਹਾਸਕ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਛੜਨਾ ਪਿਆ। ਓਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਅੱਜ ਤਕ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਵਿਛੜੇ ਅਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਸਿੱਖ ਬੜੀ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਂ-ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਾਲ ਅਰਦਾਸਾਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਇਸ ਅਮਨ ਪੂਰਬਕ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਂ ਦਿਤਾ ਤੇ ਸਗੋ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਲਈ ਪਾਸਪੋਰਟ ਲਾਗੂ ਕਰ ਦਿਤੇ। ਪਾਸਪੋਰਟ ਦੇਣ ਮੌਕੇ ਵੀ ਵੱਡਾ ਖਰਚਾ ਤੇ ਅਕਸਰ ਸਾਲ ਲਗ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਤੇ ਖੱਜਲ ਖੁਆਰੀ ਵੱਖ। ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਪਾਸਪੋਰਟ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਵੀਜੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵਲੋਂ ਤੰਗ ਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਕਰਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਅਸੂਲਨ ਰਿਸ਼ਵਤ ਲੈਣੀ। ਕੁਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਸਾਲ ਵਿਚ ਸਿਰਫ ੫-੧੦ ਹਜਾਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਥਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਣ ਦਿਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਸਿਰਫ ਇਕ ਦੋ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਹੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਾਏ ਤੋਂ ਸੈਂਕੜੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਜਿਆਦਾ ਕਰਾਇਆ ਲੈ ਕੇ।ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਵੀ ਮਨ ਆਏ ਯਾਤਰਾਵਾਂ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿਤੀਆਂ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਓਧਰ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਯਾਤਰਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਦਰ ਜੋ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਭਰ ਵਿਚ ਹੁੰ੍‍ਦੀ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਜੋ ਦੁਰਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਤੇ ਸਾਡਾ ਸਿਰ ਸ਼ਰਮ ਨਾਲ ਝੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।ਖੁੱਦ ਪੰਜਾਬੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਕੁੰਭ ਮੇਲਿਆਂ, ਅਮਰਨਾਥ, ਕੈਲਾਸ਼ ਮੰਦਰ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੱਕੇ ਦੇ ਹੱਜ ਲਈ ਅਰਬਾਂ ਰੁਪਏ ਖਰਚਦੀ ਹੈ। ਸਿੱਖ ਯਾਤਰਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਲ ਜਦੋਂ ਆਉਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਕਸਰ ਇਹ ਕਹਿ ਦਿਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧ ਸੁਖਾਵੇ ਨਹੀ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਹਾਲਾਤ ਲਗ ਪਗ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ ਕਿਉਕਿ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਤੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਨੇ ੧੯੯੯ ਞ'ਚ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਉਹ ਸਰਹੱਦੀ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਕਰਤਾਰਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਲਈ ਖੁੱਲਾ ਲਾਂਘਾ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਪਾਸਪੋਰਟ ਬਿਨਾ ਵੀਜੇ ਦੇ ਦੇਣ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧ ਵਿਚ ਸੰਨ ੨੦੦੧ ਤੋਂ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਸਰਹੱਦ ਤੇ ਅਰਦਾਸਾਂ ਵੀ ਹੋ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਟੱਸ ਤੋ ਮੱਸ ਨਹੀ ਹੋਈ। ਸੋ ਖੁਦ ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਹੀ ਨਹੀ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੀ ਕਿ ਲੋਕ ਆਉਣ ਜਾਣ। ਓਧਰ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪੂਰਬੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਲਗ ਪਗ ਹਰ ਪਿੰਡ ਹਰ ਮੁਹੱਲੇ ਵਿਚ ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਉਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨਾਂਵਿਚ ਵੱਡੀ ਸਿੱਕ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਉਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਧਰ ਆਉਣ ਨਹੀ ਦਿਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ, ਸਰਕਾਰ ਕਹਿ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਗੜਬੜ ਗ੍ਰਸਤ ਇਲਾਕਾ ਹੈ। ਬੰਦਾ ਪੁਛੇ ਭਈ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਹੜੀ ਗੜ ਬੜ ਚਲ ਰਹੀ ਏ? ਖੁਦ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਬਾਦਲ ਸਾਬ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਹੁਣ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਭੇਦ ਭਾਵ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਅਸੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਯਾਦ ਦਿਵਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਬੇਇਨਸਾਫੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਧੱਕੇ ਹੀ ਫਿਰ ਅੱਤਵਾਦ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਫਿਰ ਦੇਸ ਭਗਤ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਤਾਂ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਅਜਾਦੀ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਡਾ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਹੈ।ਅਸੀ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਉਣ ਜਾਣ ਇਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਨਹੀ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਕਿ ਕਿਤੇ ਦੋਨੋ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਨਾਂ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ ਕਿਉਕਿ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਪਾਸਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਬੋਲੀ ਤੇ ਸਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਇਕ ਹੈ। ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀ ਕਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਕਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਬੇਹੂਦਾ ਅਫਵਾਹਾਂ ਫੈਲਾਈਆਂ ਜਾ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਓਧਰ ਦਰਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਂਝਿਆ ਰੱਖਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਜ ੬੨ ਸਾਲ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਨੇ ਤੇ ਕਈ ਸਥਾਨ ਤਾਂ ਹੁਣ ਤਕ ਅਲੋਪ ਹੀ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਨੇ। ਅੱਜ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਅਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਸਲਾ ਨਾਜਕ ਦੌਰ ਵਿਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ। ਸਾਡੇ ਸੂਤਰਧਾਰ ਬਜੁਰਗ ਜਿੰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਓਨਾਂ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਯਾਦਾਂ ਹਨ ਹੁਣ ਖਤਮ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ। ਹੁਣ ਵੇਲਾ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਜਬਾਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਦਰ ਕਰੇ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੱਖਪਾਤੀ ਤੇ ਮਾਨਵਤਾ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਰਵੱਈਏ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡੇ।ਆਓ ਪਿਆਰ ਦੀ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਹਨੇਰੀ ਚਲਾਈਏ ਜਿਸ ਅੱਗੇ ਨਫਰਤ ਦੇ ਕੱਖ ਕਾਨ ਉਡ ਪੁੱਡ ਜਾਣ।

At the point on Border near Dera Baba Nanak from where Kartarpur sahib is visible Darshan Sthal Indian border police the Border Security Force have erected barricades to  control the rush of pilgrims. About 4 months ago the BSF received orders that every visitor to Darshan Sthal be registered so that the Govt can have an idea as to how many people are mad to see Kartarpur. Since then a BSF man keeps record of people visiting.

Obviously every time I go to Darshan Sthal I would innocently ask the BSF jawan as to how many people have visited today. They would say ‘300’ ‘400’. Yesterday I asked the same question and the unsuspecting BSF sentry spoke:-

 “Sardarji tumhara dimag kam nahin karta, yeh ginti kaise ki ja sakti hai.. Oh sardarji you are stupid how can this number be counted? The stream is continuously flowing. Yesterday they completely exhausted our canteen stock and in the end of day our cash balance stood at whopping Rs.1006353.”

Could we imagine the numbers of people that can consume Jalebis and samosas of BSF canteen worth 3  lakh. The  number was visible to every one except the Delhi bosses who have erected barbed fence to prevent pilgrims visiting the Sikh holy shrine of Kartarpur sahib.

I have had enough of opportunity to lay bare the real face of Congress rule before the people how the congress has traditionally remained hostile to the interest of Punjabi people. Our slogan was

KARTARPUR NU LANGHA DEVE PAKISTAN SARKAR
CHHAD VITKARE DILLI SARKARE KHOL KHADIALI TAAR

Yesterday Chain Singh a congress worker was among my audience, he came to and sarcastically remarked, "Goraya sahib ke gall ai eitkan tuhade record di sui sirf Congress te hi kio ghumm rahi ei (why this time only congress earns your wrath?) I explain again publicly how congress  has once again betrayed on Corridor front. I happen to mention how this anti-human party was playing with civil liberties also. How emails of a tiny worm like me are being blocked. On my last charge Chain Singh was surprised and told me that he would take up it with Congress leaders.

I also told him how the secret agencies have removed the posters from public and gurdwara walls. This is an attack on freedom of expression.
