Hi Tridivesh,

I hope everything is going well and that you've received good news from Singapore!

I just wanted to update you on the Kartarpur Project. The Ambassador went to the Sikh Convention held in Maryland by SCORE. Mr. Rajwant Singh introduced the Ambassador to the crowd of 200-plus Sikhs, to whom the Ambassador gave a speech introducing IMTD and delineating the Kartarpur Project. (I will email you a video of the speech later today). He has made it clear that there is to be no government money given towards the project, and hence no government influence. He received quite a lot of support and enthusiasm. I am to contact some individuals he met at the convention to talk about funding and will update you as soon as I have gotten their contact information.

The plan itself is moving along and we are in the midst of completing a project proposal. The project will be sectioned into four phases with the final objective being the creation of the Kartarpur Corridor, reparation of the Ravi Bridge, and creation of business along the Kartarpur route. The initial phase will be gathering qualified individuals that we will raise money to fly to Washington DC to design a plan for the Kartarpur Corridor. The professionals needed must be the following: a) an engineerb) urban plannerc) an architect; and d) a business man. The final participant we have identified will be Mr. Kuldip Singh. We were hoping you could help us in identifying Sikh professionals that would be eager and willing to participate in the corridor project. We are looking for individuals in India and Pakistan and understand that you had Sikh contacts in Pakistan and were wondering if you could contact them or send us their information so we could request their participation.

Thank you for your help and I look forward to hearing from you!

Most Sincerely,
Maria Jan
