For the past six month, Sarbjit Mann was working with KartarPur Sahib Marg organization in California to get open access to Kartar Pur Sahib Gurdwara in Pakistan. Four weeks back, he went to India and issued statements about KartarPur Sahib Marg organization and its activities.

Ajit, Spokesman, Hindustan Times, Punjabi tribune covered our story about 20 million signature campaign launched by KartarPur Sahib Marg organization through Internet and by mailing petitions to about 480 Gurdwara's throughout the world.

   On June 28, 2008, Shri Parnab Mukerji, foreign Minister of India announced that Government of India is fully aware and alive to the sanctity and significance of the issue and the Government of India has already taken up the matter in full detail with its Pakistani counterpart for link between the holy city of Sri Kartarpur Sahib in Pakistan and Dera Baba Nanak in India Mr. Mann spoke to Mr. Kuldip Singh Wadala (the president of the Kartarpur Langha Committee) and was very impressed with their signature campaign and even remarked that efforts by NRI Sikhs will be more fruitful and both India and Pakistan Governments will pay attention to NRI's efforts. Mann also thanked Mr. Wadala for his leading efforts for the past 8 years towards achievement of corridor to KartarPur Sahib Gurdwara in Pakistan. Kuldeep Singh Wadala, said: It would be a dream come true. We have been struggling for many years to get this corridor and wish that the visit of External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee will bring fruit.   Mr. Mann also thanked S. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa for building road and enterance gate open kartarpur sahib marg.        Sarbjit Mann visited Dera Baba Nanak and was impressed with the viewing stand built by BSF and local sanagt. He was informed by BSF personnel that about 500-600 visitors come daily to view KartarPur Sahib Gurdwara with Telescopes provided by BSF. He took pictures of Viewing stand and Kartar Marg built on Indian side. A gate is under construction at the entry of Kartar Pur Marg in Dera Baba Nanak. Construction work is at stand still due to lack of funds. Kartar Pur Sahib Marg organization planning to launch a campaign to collect funds for the completion of this entrance gate to KartarPur Marg. Sarbjit Mann said Kartar Pur Sahib Marg organization in California is very thankful to Shri Parnab Mukerji, foreign Minister of India for forming feasibility study committee to achieve completion of Kartar Marg. Mukerji also discussed this matter with Mr. Queerish, Pakistan foreign Minister on his visit to New Delhi in June 2008. We strongly condemn the pessimistic approach taken in local Chardi Kala newspaper editorial and Dr. Amarjit Singh regarding Kartarpur Sahib Marg.  It was written in Chardi Kala editorial that Sikhs in US are sad about Parnab Mukherjee' statement.  It is technical as well political issue.  Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiam.    Kartarur Sahib Gurudwara has such a strong energy that this Kartarpur Sahib Corridor will be open soon.  People from great land of punjab will be able to visit Kartarpur Sahib. Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly -  Voice of 20000 sikhs who signed to open Kartarpur Sahib Corridor. Sarbjit S.
