Constitution Punjabi
1.
Aims and Objectives- Achieving unrestricted pilgrimage to Sikh
Shrines in Pakistan.
Definitions
2. Sangi the member of Sangat- who has undertaken a pledge that he will not
fight any political election while being a member and also for at least for
five years from the date of cessation of membership of Sangat.
5. Corridor Service- concrete efforts
in pursuit of goal.

9. General House- one forth of total strength of chakars the servants.
10. Diwan or the Executive body- consists of 10 chakars or members
11. Chakar No.1- the Chief servant or the head
12. Chakar No.2 – or the Vice Chief servant or the vice head
13. Chakar No.3 the Joint Secretary servant the secretary
14. Chakar No.4 the Joint Secretary servant
15. Chakar No.5 the cashier servant

16A- Chakar No.10 General Secretary
17. Vacancies arising in Diwan are to be filled from Diwan itself.
18. Meetings are to be fixed by the Chakar No.3 in consultation with the
Chakar No.1 . At least one meeting of Diwan in a month with a notice of a
week. General body meeting with a notice of one month.
19. Minutes book to be maintained by Chakar No.3 .
20. Election of Diwan to be carried out by General Body of Chakars who have
undergone ego eradication exercise and while selecting a candidate service
rendered or service potential will be chief cretarian.
21. All moneys to be deposited in some scheduled bank at the earliest.
Responsibility of Chakar No.5
22. All book entries to be attested by Chakar No.10
23. Accounts to be got audited by General Body.
24. Quorum- one third of members.
25. Durbar- the political wing appointed by the Diwan for a year to take the
case of the Sangat to Govt authorities. Diwan having power to reconstitute
the Durbar any time. Durbar will have any number of the supporters of the
cause of the Sangat and will be designated as International Corridor
Ambassadors (Rajdoot)
29. Registered Office- residence of Chakar No.10 so long the Sangat can’t
afford its own.
30. Amendments-
For day to day functioning amendments can be carried out by the General
Assembly without disturbing the basic character of the constitution.
31. In this Constitution 1.humility 2. sincerity and 3 dominance of
nonpolitical character have been laid down as the primary qualifications of
the member and these should not be amended. However if the Sangat at any
stage finds these characteristics as unworkable a new organization or
institution be raised and the Sangat be dissolved and all its assets be and
the sale proceeds be donated to Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib in Narowal
Pakistan. |
