Kartarpur

Kartarpur Sahib (Doaba) near Jalandhar is equally an important Sikh town founded by our 5th Guru Sahib Guru Arjun Dev ji. Sixth Guru Sahib later shifted to this town and even fought battles at this place with Mughals. Tomb of Paindey Khan a disciple of X Guru lies in this town. The most important feature of this town is that original volume of Guru Granth sahib which was scribed by Bhai Gurdas ji is preserved here with the Dhirmalia sect.

Kartarpur- Doaba is therefore an important seat of the Dhirmalias also.

Kartarpur Doaba offers a rich field to a student of archaeology. But will the ramnents survive before the Punjabis have their own rule in Punjab to carry out such studies.
